Crepes are a deliciously versatile treat, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. Whether filled with Nutella and almond flakes or topped with your favorite fruits, this easy recipe will help you create thin, golden crepes that are sure to impress. Here’s everything you need to know to make perfect crepes at home!

Ingredients

Crepe Batter:

6 large eggs

1 tsp salt

1 Tbsp sugar

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

4 cups milk

1/4 cup melted butter or oil

To Stuff:

Nutella

Toasted Almond Flakes

Also Needed:

Non-stick pan

Rubber spatula

Instructions

1. Prepare the Batter

Blender or Mixer Method:

Combine the eggs, sugar, salt, and flour in a blender or mixer. Blend on high until well combined.

Gradually add the milk through the lid’s opening while blending until you reach a smooth, lump-free texture. Pause and scrape the sides if necessary.

Add the melted butter or oil and blend for another 30 seconds.

You can use the batter immediately or refrigerate it. If using it the next day, stir for 30 seconds and skim any foam that may have formed.

Whisk and Bowl Method:

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, salt, and flour until a thick batter forms.

Slowly add milk, about 1/2 cup at a time, whisking well after each addition to ensure smoothness.

Once all milk is added, pour in melted butter or oil and whisk for another minute to incorporate fully.

2. Cooking the Crepes

Non-Stick Skillet Method:

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat until thoroughly heated.

Tilt the skillet at a 45-degree angle and pour a small amount of batter, allowing it to drizzle down and cover the pan. Swirl to distribute evenly.

When edges start to lift, use a rubber spatula to release and flip the crepe.

Cook for another 20-30 seconds, then transfer to a plate. Repeat for remaining batter.

Regular Skillet Method:

Heat a regular skillet over medium-high heat and lightly brush with oil.

Pour batter as described above. After the first crepe, reduce heat to medium for the rest.

Tip: For a lacey look, brush the hot skillet with oil just before adding the batter.

Serving Suggestions
